About Mount Victory, Ohio
Mt. Victory is a small rural community in Northwest Ohio with a population just over 500.
It’s located about 50 miles northwest of Columbus and about 90 miles south of Toledo, being situated on St. Rt. 31 in Hardin County. It was founded in 1851.
The CSX railroad runs through town on its way to parts east. The railroad carries many Honda cars from the plant about 20 miles away. Unfortunately, the trains stop to wait for another train to pass, which can cause a headache to those in cars passing through.
The town hosts an Antique & Vintage Car Show on Memorial Day each year. This draws cars and people from many miles away. Streets to the east on St Rt 31 are closed off for the occasion. In recent years there have been nearly 300 cars for people to enjoy looking at.
The town is home to several antique and craft stores who offer various special events in the stores throughout the year. The surrounding area is home to a settlement of Old Order Amish who offer a variety of goods and services, but no Sunday sales!
The town is also home to Ridgemont Local Schools with the building being on the west edge of town. Our village park is in the northeast part of town.
